Paul has 33 years of banking experience. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Sweetwater Education Foundation.

He and his wife have three children, a dog, two cats, and recently welcomed their first granddaughter.

Paul enjoys golf, cooking and hiking. In his free time, you can likely find him doing one of those things. If not, he’s probably doing yard work.

Two fun facts about Paul: Some people say he looks like Bruce Willis, and lima beans make him sick.

Shelia has been part of the Volunteer Federal family for 26 years. She is active in the local community, where she has been a Monroe County Chamber of Commerce Diplomat since 2016.

She and her husband have three children and a red tick hound. The apples of Shelia’s eye, however, are her two granddaughters.

Shelia enjoys shopping, walking/hiking, and vacations. She loves going on a last-minute, unplanned trip or vacation.

Rita has over 40 years of banking experience. She has been with Volunteer Federal for 30 years and credits that time for some lifelong friendships.

She and her husband have two children, along with a Yorkie-Poo. Their grandchildren are the light of their world.

Rita loves spending time with her family, traveling, biking, walking and seafood. Two of her favorite things are vacationing to the Caribbean and going to the movies.

Abby has over 20 years of banking experience. She is active in her local community, and currently serves on the Sweetwater Planning Commission.

She and her husband of 25 years have two sons and three dogs.

Abby grew up on a dairy farm, where she helped milk cows and raise baby calves. She loves sunsets, campfires, and unplanned road trips. In her free time, she can likely be found camping, hiking, or outside getting her hands dirty creating and building things. She is a co-owner of Sippin’ Gypsy Cantina, a mobile event drink trailer.

Lovey has been part of the Volunteer Federal family for more than 25 years. She often volunteers at local community benefits and festivals and at her church.

She enjoys cooking, watching TV, and making flower arrangements. Some of her favorite things are beach vacations with her husband, snow, and Christmas. She prepares for Christmas all year long!

But cotton balls and cats give her the willies!

She is active in the local community and serves on the Chota Community Health Services’ Board of Directors, on the Tellico Plains Public Library Board, and is a member of the Tellico Plains Kiwanis Club.

Kressa and her husband have one son.

She enjoys vacationing with her family, reading, gardening, and Mexican food.

Sara Spiva has 23 years of experience in banking—16 of which have been with Volunteer Federal.

She serves on the board for Madisonville Kiwanis Club, is a member of the local Advisory Team for Isaiah 117 House of Monroe/McMinn Counties, volunteers with the Loaves and Fishes outreach, and is a youth leader at her church.

She and her husband do not have children but a handful of nieces and nephews, who Sara loves to spoil and spend time with.

Sara loves “The Golden Girls,” Mexican food and traveling. In her free time, she can be found reading, spending time with her family and friends, or road tripping to the mountains.

Fun fact: Sara has moved twice in her lifetime, but has always lived on the same street.

Ruby has worked at Volunteer Federal for more than 30 years.

She is actively involved in her community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce since 1999, helping with the bank’s Helping Hands initiative, and supporting the Downtown Madisonville Alliance and Main Street Program. In 2022, she was voted in the top five for the Businesswoman of the Year award by the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce.

Ruby enjoys western movies, cookouts, boating, and floating in the pool. Two of her favorite things are beach trips—especially girls’ trips and watching “The Virginian.”
